Enjoy The List for May 21.

Late laughternoon break: spread the awkardness

Who to follow on Twitter: Tom Gara -tech and telecom reporter for The National, UAE.

What to snack post 400/Boudoir/Karma Kafé : order the foul at Al Reef Bakery -across from Safa Park on Al Wasl Road...amazing

What to weekend lunch: delicious grilled fresh fish at Sammach in Souk Al Bahar, don’t miss the hommus Beiruti, fatoush, and batatta harra.

What to visit another emirate for: kitschy klassic Dreamland is so worth the trip (avoid Fridays though)

What to tourist: take a ride on the Palm Monorail out to Atlantis. It’s the best view of the Palm Jumeirah- 25AED roundtrip is a steal compared to 1500AED from HeliDubai!

Don’t bother: Cavalli Club over-hyped and poor service to boot. Until they get their act together there are so many better places to see-and-be-seen in Dubai.

What to hair: sprinkle some baby powder at your roots to fight the greasy look and add volume as the humidity in Dubai amps up and leaves us with lifeless locks. (brush it and give yourself a blast with the hairdryer to be sure to eliminate any evidence)

What to rub: Jergens Original Scent lotion… love the delicious cherry almond scent and oh so smooth.

What to SlingBox: The NBA Conference Finals. Because you can’t actually find the games live in Dubai. Go Nuggets!

What to read: Taxi by Khaled Al Khamissi
Delightful vignettes from Cairo cabbies that bring to life the inimitable energy of the throbbing metropolis.

What to Tupac: “Keep ya head up” by Tupac - arguably Tupac's best individual performance ever. Over DJ Daryl's rendition of Zapp & Roger's "Be Alright," Pac delivers a message about staying ahead of the struggle and showing respect to all, regardless of gender.

Weekend anthem: Kerri Hilson “Do It” love the LL Cool J musical reference in the intro

What to answer -“Do you want anything from Paris?”: Mais oui! A lovely light green box tied with pink ribbon filled with delicious macaroons from Ladurée, s’il vous plait
